Goshawk?

If looks could kill, this Northern Goshawk would be at the top of the list. The Goshawk landed in our back yard at sunset and as I grabbed the camera it gave me this killer look. This is not a small hawk, it is on average about 24" in length. You never know who will show up in our yard.

Below, is a Pileated Woodpecker. This is the largest of the woodpeckers North America. About the size of a crow. If you look closely at the second photo, you can see it's tongue as it gets a bug from the tree. You don't see that everyday.
