Cold

It's the end of January and winter is in it's full grip.
The snow and cold is here.
The sun is so bright that you feel like you have to wear two pairs of sunglasses
The deer are licking the salt off your truck at stop light
You need to turn the heat on when ice fishing
You dress in pounds
Your neighbors are so bundled up that you don't know who is who
Your nostrils stick together when you inhale
+10 is a heat wave
You can't wait to get into the ice areana to warm up

Amazing at what great lenghts Kim will go to watch hockey

Pond Hockey

+4 degrees, -16 wind chill and Kim's got her coffee. One could not ask for a more perfect day to watch hockey in Minnesota.

24 rinks
220 teams
8 hours of playing time
Now who do you watch?
And yes it was outside.

But wait it did not stop there. For some reason we had tickets to the Minnesota Wild that night also.

So the day was like this, 8:30 am to 11 pm we watched hockey. But when you live in the state of hockey, you do hockey.

This was our team, The South Siders "Wells Fargo" Yes Korey, you could beat them. Posted by Picasa

ICE!!!

The warmth of Al Gores global warming has eased for the us in Minnesota, and the winter sports are in full swing. The ice is getting thick each day and the sunnies are bitting!

As for the other winter sports, GAME ON! the US Pond Hockey Championship is starting this Friday Jan 19. Three days of hockey, 200 team's and 24 rinks. If this doesn't make Kim happy?

Next week, photos from the games.

Back to Work!

There's a little bit of Red Neck in all of us. But this is a creative Red Neck hot tub. I don't think this is what Kim has in mind for the patio next year!

You are never to young to get your first Harley tee shirt. Just think Kaden, only 16 more years and you to can ride.

It looks like winter is going to return to Minnesota this week. The ice on the lakes is holding, but we could use about a foot more. Plus in two weeks the Pond Hockey Classic is held here. 99 teams, 24 rinks and two days of hockey. Does life get any better. Posted by Picasa

Happy New Year

This year we have shared some of our traditions with you. One of them is lighting a candle on Christmas Eve in memory of those that have passed, that have been a part of our lives.

And to think that I sent Christmas by ourselfs. Thanks H for coming over.
