Their Back

As Spring continues to unfold, two more residence have shown up. These two Mallards have come back to our back yard, or we think they are the same two. Have been showing up for the past five years. We only see just these two and no more. They keep looking in the stream for water, so guess that means I need to get thing started this week.

Some signs of Spring around the yard.

The snow is almost gone

The yards is muddy or very soft

Ten yards of mulch dumped at the bottom of the hill

The Mallard's are back walking around the yard, looking for a nesting spot

Snow drops has started to come up

The water rock is running

Some small bugs are out

The windows are washed

And best of all, the ribs are back in the Egg!

One Project Done

One project off the list and more to come or so I have been told.

The latest project was the removal of the original carpet in the four season room, with hardwood flooring. So with some help from Kim, we started last Sunday removing the carpet and the thousand staples and brads. And with some prepping of the floor during the week, it was time for the weekend, to put the floor down. In about six hours, we had a new Cherry floor. As with all projects, what was in the room before, doesn’t look right in the new room and has to be replaced, of course. It’s a girl thing, and the room will be filled in by the end of the week.
