What we did this summer

Sorry for not posting last weekend, but Sunday just slipped away from me. Since it is now fall, the second best season next to winter. (only 90 more days to ice fishing!) I thought I would sum up summer in a collection of photos. Just click on the link and then on the first photo and it will take you to the rest of the photos. Let me know if you have any troubles.http://picasaweb.google.com/ted.narveson/WhatWeDidThisSummer?authkey=My8Fz2n1QtR-OJW2RaGBRpG8do8

There will be no blog update next weekend, as we are onVACTION!

Bread in the Weber?

Okay, the White Egret was not the bread on the weber, but was fishing along Pergatory Creek this weekend as Kim and I went for our five mile walk. Who's idea was it to walk that far on the weekends anyways? Just getting us in shape for Yellowstone.
So we have had this wild hair about a wood fired brick oven for a couple of years, but just did not know how to go about it. So after some research on the web, I came up with using the Weber to bake bread? Last weekend we tried charcoal as the heat source and this time we tried wood. While Kim is getting the dough ready, I am building the fire. When the bricks get to 600 degrees it is time to bake!
The end results, is a sour dough loaf. MMM good! I think we may have to build a real oven in the back yard.

More to come next Sunday. Posted by Picasa

20 years!

That's right, we have been married for 20 years! Not everyone can say that these days.

So what will the next 20 plus years have for us?
Nothing better then spending a day on the bike going down the Mississippi River road early Friday morning before the weekend rush.
