Spring Has Come To Minnesota

After what some felt was a long winter, spring has come to Minnesota!! The ice and the snow is melting, the frost is coming out of the ground. The first flowers of spring are up. What will come up next?

The Big Green Egg made its debut this weekend. Kim's sourdough bread and chicken. It worked perfectly. Since this is the year of the bread for the fairs. I think that the egg will get alot of use.

Did the trophy go anywere this week? Check out it's blog to find out. http://footballtrophy.blogspot.com/

Is Spring Close?

You can smell spring in the air or is it just Iowa you can smell on those south winds?

The snow is melting and now we are down to 12" on the ground.

You can hear the birds singing like it is spring, but it still looks like winter.

You can hear the sound of the Harleys starting up in the neighborhood just waiting to get back out on the roads.

It's warm enough to wash out the garage and discover that the floor is not made of sand.

The WCHA Final Five starts this week a gaurentee that it will snow!

Could it be true, the Minnestoa Wild are looking like they will be in the playoffs?

The ice fishing season is coming to and end. But who can complain this year with four months of good ice fishing.

Take a look around, I am sure you will see some signs of spring.

Snow

This past week, I was sitting in the four season room watching tv when I noticed the bird feeder moving. Now what bird would be up for a late night snack? The bird turned out to be one of the flying squirals we have seen, but have never gotten a photo of. It is not the best photo you might ever see, but it is the only one that I have taken. So the next time you look out at your bird feeder late at night, you might see one.
With a weeks worth of media hype, the snow finaly came. 10" last weekend and 18" this week. We did not get the wind or ice that other areas received.

How many days until spring?
