Last fall on our trip to Alaska, we found a small group of Trumpeter Swans resting along the Knik river on their journey south. But, who would have thought that we would see the swans in Minnesota? As it turns out, a small group (about 600) of Trumpeter Swans spend the winter along the Mississippi River about hour northwest of our home. I hope that the Grizzly Bears didn't follow also!
