What? we all go together! It was not a funeral or a wedding.

Well if you are looking at this and you know who I am, then you know the people in the photos and I don't have to explain.

Nellie

NO NO NO, we did not get a dog! We were dog sitting Nellie.
Now, with a hawk in the back yard and Nellie being a tasty snack, Nellie did not spend to much time out of our sight and off her leash. You can see more photos of the weekend at http://picasaweb.google.com/ted.narveson

That's Why

Now I know why the hawk likes to dive on me when I am in the yard! Up in the oak tree in the back yard, up about 50 feet in a nest. And in the nest are two young hawks. I was only able to get a photo of just one, but trust me there is two of them.
I hope they grow up fast, since I am tired of feeling like his next meal.

Hunted

This was a first. This weekend I found out what a squirrel feels like living in our back yard. For the past five years, we have had Broad Winged Hawks nesting in the tree in our yard. And very time you come outside they call out their sound and set and watch us. However, this weekend they decided to take me on and not the squirrels! It was kind of fun and at the same time kind of strange being dived on by a hawk. Several times, the hawk would come so close that you could feel the air moving as it came by. Looks like someone else owns my back yard.










The cart is done for the Egg and was going all weekend.
